Each company is judged on five criteria.
Human rights, the environment, animal protection, community involvement and social justice.
For example, the category of airlines, no one gets an a, but JetBlue and Southwest get B pluses, while American Airlines, United and others all get F's.
If you're interested in finding out more about the beauty products you put on your body and hair, iPhone users should download the free think dirty app, coming soon to android.
Using your phone, scan the bar code of more than 200,000 products on their database to find out all the ingredients and how they rank on the dirty scale.
The apple also give recommendations for cleaner versions of similar products.
