What would make -- next generation MacBook Pro. -- it's a great question.
One of the answer.
Let me start by some of the key ideas thank you want -- next generation MacBook Pro. To have.
A killer new display.
We wanted to --
And architecture built for the future. You wanted to be radically thin and light.
And of course you wanted to be bold and embrace the newest technologies to be willing to discard the old legacy things that could make something.
Unlike any other notebook that's been made today.
So would you like to see the next generation notebook.
-- -- --
So the next generation MacBook Pro.
-- most beautiful computer we have ever made.
But the first thing you get a notice from the front is dominated by an amazing magnificent. New display.
There's never been a notebook that is this is gorgeous but really if you wanna be -- -- turn -- -- to its side.
And see what it looks like. From the side through.
-- it's tough to save for the audience. And -- talent show except it's so thin and light and small and so far away but just to give you -- little contacts.
Here's my finger next to it.
Better than my finger I mean even even with its close to this because that display is so radically thin.
It is a true breakthrough in engineering.
And has never been notebook this thin this -- Apollo for professional use let's bring about around the front.
Don't worry we're gonna tell you all about in just a minute.
Who's up to enjoy for a second -- -- incredible glasses.
So. Close it up for now.
-- -- go up to the slides. Can tell you some more about this incredible product.
So the new next generation MacBook Pro is zero point 71 inches thin.
That is remarkable -- it connects to.
The existing current generation not before you see the difference. It's a quarter dinner but it's a dramatic amount in -- -- --
The MacBook Air next to it you see it's about as thin as a MacBook Air.
As improbable and its way.
It weighs just four point 46 pounds under four and a half pounds it is.
The lightest pro notebook that we have ever made even just lighter than the thirteen inch MacBook Pro today.
Probably the most amazing thing about it is this gorgeous display. But it's built where it is a breakthrough in display engineering.
Yes it is a Retina Display.
Okay. And this.
Effects on display are so small that from a normal working distance your retina cannot discern those individual pixels.
And to use it is absolutely. Stunning.
It's fifteen point four inches across.
But its pixel density you what -- you all sitting down this is really exciting.
It is 2880. Pixels by 1804. Times the number of pixels in the previous generation.
Not book pro displayed.
-- density as 220 pixels per inch and I know so we were really Smart and -- departed on the math that's 5184000. Pixels.
Bet is the world's highest resolution notebook display.
It's not only an agent with the number of pixels and it but the quality of this displays the best we've ever made.
Higher contrast -- deeper blacks. It has a higher -- what you with IPS technology.
And best of all you get the benefit of the glossy display with the rich color but we've been able to reduce the glare and reflection by up to 75%.
-- -- -- --
-- it ships with OS-X lion but lion has been updated to take full advantage of that Retina Display.
So everything you want it looked really sharp and beautiful so the applications wind -- with -- for example mail.
-- been updated to reading your mail is like reading the fine print it's gorgeous.
So far it's been updated surfing the web.
Can be like experiencing magazine print quality.
And many of the applications like imovie and iPhoto have been updated in iPhoto when you're looking at thumbnail photos and events for you.
You're gonna see if clarity and level of detail you've never seen before -- the display it's gorgeous.
