Apple might unwrap iPad Mini on Oct. 23
This holiday season, everyone's against Amazon.
I'm Bridget Carey and this is your CNET update.
Best Buy will match any price on Amazon during the holiday season.
This is according to a report from the Wall Street Journal.
Now, Best Buy has always match competitor prices if that company has a brick and motor store like Walmart or radio shock.
You just have to show the price on your cellphone at the cashier, but Best Buy never before match
surprise with an online store.
Best Buy is doing this to fight back against the trend that people using Best Buy as an in-person showroom for browsing and then walking out to order later on Amazon.
Best Buy is also offering free ham delivery.
It is a product you want that had a stock.
There's no official word yet about when this will start and if Best Buy will match prices with other online stores like Overstock or Newegg.
The next time you're picking up anything at the Best Buy use a bar code scan or app like scan or ShopSavvy.
See how much the item is going for at the retailers then show the cashier if anyone selling it for less.
I have done it for things like games and DVDs and it works, but it has to be the same product.
Sometimes, you'll find a better cable or memory card online for a lot less, but if it has a different product's Q, you could be out of the luck.
Apple could finally show off the much talked about iPad mini at a news event on Tuesday, October 23rd.
This is according to all things digital and their reports tend to pan out, but you wanna for sure until Apple breaks his silence.
Everyone is waiting to see what features Apple packed into this smaller tablet
and how much it's gonna cost.
An Amazon's chief, Jeff Bezos, said the Kindles are sold at cost.
Amazon is not making any profit because they rather make the profit off the minute you buy with the tablet.
I don't care Apple to follow the same path.
Some of that estimated that Apple makes about a 40% profit on the iPad.
You can now pre-order Windows 8, the new operating system and computers are released October 26.
If you want a hard copy of Windows 8 on a DVD, that will be $70.
It's cheaper if you wanna get an upgrade as a download from windows.com.
That will be $40, but that price is only good until the end of January.
Also if you bought a Window 7 computer since June 2nd, the upgrade costs 15 bucks.
You can also pre-order a Windows 8 PC tablet, laptop, high-breed tablet, laptop and if you like to be unique, there's the Sony VAIO top 20 which is a whole new category.
Sony calls it a mobile desktop, but I call it a 20-inch tablet with a stand and wireless keyboard.
The tech adventurous can pre-order it for a thousand dollars.
You might think Sony has gone mad, but Lenovo is also cooking up something just like this.
That's your tech news update for today.
