Amazon to leave packages in your home, Google answers Pixel 2 issues
This is cnet and here are the stories that matter right now.
Amazon announced a new shipping service that would allow customers to receive packages inside their homes.
It's called Amazon Key and will launch in 37 US metro areas in November.
The service works with Amazon's new cloud cam security camera, a smart door lock, and a new app.
Amazon Key will be available for Prime members only.
This week a number of reports said that the display on the Google Pixel 2 itself suffered color issues as well as burn in.
Burn in is when the display still shows remnants of images previously on the screen.
Then reports surfaced saying that the smaller Pixel 2 was emitting a clicking sound during calls.
Google posted a response to the issues in a forum tank.
They will add a new saturated color mode, to both the Pixel 2, and the XL model, for more vibrant colors.
Google is also testing a fix for the burn-in issue.
In a separate post, Google said, an update will take care of the clicking sounds on the Pixel 2.
To show the company is behind it's latest phones, Google increased the warranty on the Pixel 2 and the 2 XL from one year to two years.
Preorders for Apple's iPhone 10 began on Friday, October 27th at 12:01 AM Pacific.
The first orders will arrive on November third.
After about ten minutes of being online for preorder, the shipping date in the US slipped to two to three weeks after the launch date.
After about 30 minutes, ship times were four to five weeks after November 3rd.
In the UK and Australia, the wait time was around five to six weeks
