Alcatel One Touch phones go from small to mega-phablet
Hi I'm Scott Stein and I'm here with some new Alcatel phones here in New York.
Now, if you're looking for something affordable, and you're looking for something that has LTE for a smartphone capabilities, there are three different products here.
Which has some interesting features.
The Alcatel One Touch Pop Icon has a five inch screen, not LCD, but it does have a simple mode that allows you to access it almost like a feature phone in case you haven't used a smartphone before.
Now, if you want something with LTE, the Alcatel One Touch Star LTE has a four inch screen.
Smaller but it's faster.
So that could matter.
Maybe the most interesting one though is the Alcatel Onetouch Mega LTE which is basically a tablet.
You've got a six inch screen here, but that's not it.
It also comes with its own little mini Bluetooth phone companion.
This think pairs with the phone and allows you to make calls with it.
It's just like an old-school phone.
But its actually a companion the bundles in.
So you leave this charging and then all of the sudden you pick this up and you take a call.
Why isn't this idea packed in with more phone?
These are all available next month at Wal-Mart.
The mega is under 250.
The other two are under 150.
Keep an eye out for them.
These are three of OfficeTel's latest.
For those that were shopping for a smart phone a little more on a budget, I'm Scott Stein of CNet here with Alcatel's new trio of phones.
