Fitbit makes some of our favorite fitness trackers and if you're a Fitbit user I've got five tips you need to know. One be sure to set up mobile track if you ever forget to wear your Fitbit. This will automatically use your smart phone to measure your steps until your tracker is back in range. Open the Fitbit app, enter the account tab click set up a device and select mobile track. This feature works with the iPhone and most Android smartphones. Next up, make sure to utilize third party apps. The FitBit app is pretty all inclusive, offering food and water tracking in addition to activity tracking but it's arguably not the best in all these categories If you're used to using a different app such as MyFitnessPal for calorie counting or RunKeeper for your runs, you can continue to use those apps and have them sync with the FitBit app. To find them all head to fitbit.com/partnership. To connect them with your device you [UNKNOWN] from the app itself, for example on my fitbit spew you will find the option to net with your fitbit in the apps and device section. If you are having problems with battery right try turning off the all this thing feature. Open the zip it app. Tap on your device to enter settings. And toggle off all day sync. While this could improve battery life you'll now have to manually sync your device each time you open the app. Speaking of the app did you know that you can customize the dashboard. So if you care more about calories burned than distance you can place it at the top of the dashboard. On Android simply long press on a data point and drag it up or down. You can even hide it by dragging it over to the x. On an iPhone tap the edit button and drag an item up or down or uncheck it to hide it, and lastly make sure to please specify which wrist your tracker is on. You tend to move your dominant hand more than the other so letting your Fitbit know which wrist its on will help it count your steps more accurately.
