3 new features in iOS 11.4
The public beta of iOS 11.4 is out.
And while nothing's changed visually, there are some new features involving messages and air play.
With messages on iCloud, now you can have your messages synced across all devices Signed into the same iCloud account.
Once you've toggled on the messages option within your iCloud settings, and you have two factor authentication turned on, you'll see a download progress bar at the bottom of the messages app.
Now when you delete a message from your phone, it should also disappear from messages on a Mac, if you have the latest update, and newer messages will be stored on the device.
With older messages archived to iCloud to save space.
With AirPlay 2, you'll be able to stream the same audio to multiple devices around the house, but at the moment, AirPlay 2 is only working on the Apple TV with the tvOS beta.
When it's fully rolled out, you'll see a circle instead of a tick for all AirPlay 2 devices to stream multi-room audio.
Behind [UNKNOWN] if you have two of these smarts [UNKNOWN] you'll soon be able to pay them together to get stereos out.
You can see the option in the [UNKNOWN] now but it still requires the HomePod update to work.
Like any [UNKNOWN] software features our subject to change in a final release.
But this gives you some idea of what to expect when iOS 11.4 is officially launched.
