Dell P713w

The Dell P713w multi-function, colour inkjet printer offers an excellent touchscreen interface and produces good printouts. It's a shame, then, that the high cost of printing black and white pages will put many people off.

Dell Colour Laser Printer 3110cn

Though its laser heritage makes it unsuitable for printing colour photographs, the CLP 3110cn is great for creating brochures, leaflets or general colour documents. Its initial affordability is matched by its low running costs and easy maintenance, and it should appeal to a wide range of users

Dell 2150CDN

The Dell 2150CDN produces impressive text and graphics output and it's fairly economical to run. It's not the fastest model on the block, but it still represents value for money.

Dell 2335DN

The Dell 2335DN is a decent multi-function, monochrome laser printer that benefits from fast print speeds and low running costs. Its print quality is variable, though.

Dell 1130

The Dell 1130 monochrome laser printer is extremely neat and compact, and produces excellent results with both text and graphics. It's also reasonably cheap to run. We like it.

Dell 1355cnw

The Dell 1355cnw multi-function, colour laser printer offers a good range of features and produces great printouts, but it's let down by its slow print speeds and the relatively high price of its toner cartridges.

Dell B1165nfw

As long as you don't mind not being able to print from a USB flash key, the Dell B1165nfw's healthy array of extra features and quick outbound print cycle make it worthwhile for small offices with wireless access.

Dell 1250c

The Dell 1250c colour laser printer impresses with its excellent print quality, and its small size will make it popular among those who are short on space. It's slow, though, and its running costs are relatively high.

Dell 3330dn

There's no doubting the Dell 3330dn's speed or the quality of its text output. It's expensive for what you get, though, and the paper tray really should be larger on a machine that's designed to take care of intensive printing duties.

Dell 1135n

Dell's 1135n is a decent all-rounder that's suitable for busy home offices. But it's really a re-badged Samsung model, and Samsung's own SCX-4623F is cheaper to buy and run.

Dell 1133

The Dell 1133 is a fine choice for people on a budget who don't need colour prints. It's a hefty beast but it's robust and speedy, and offers good-quality prints at a decent price. Its lack of network support is a letdown, though
