Samsung SGH-C207 (AT&T)

Samsung SGH-C207 (AT&T)

Quick Take: The Samsung SGH-C207 for Cingular Wireless is an updated version of the Samsung SGH-X105 for T-Mobile. It retains the same basic candy bar-style form factor, though it is slightly smaller (4.0 by 1.6 by 0.7 inches) and weighs marginally less (2.5 ounces). Also, where the X105 is blue and silver, the C207 is all silver. Other features are about the same, with similarly shaped navigation controls and keypad buttons, as well as a 65,000-color display.

On the feature side, the C207 is a basic cell phone like its predecessor. The phone book holds a generous 1,000 entries, while you get text and multimedia messaging, polyphonic ring tones, voice memos, a calendar, a calculator, a to-do list, and Java (J2ME) support for games. One improvement over the X105 is the inclusion of AOL instant messaging. The C207 is a dual-band (GSM 850/1900; GPRS) mobile and has a promised battery life of five hours of talk time and eight days of standby time.
