Huawei unveils first dual-band 4G-LTE cellular mobile router, the E5786 hotspot, that can also works as a juice pack
Soon you're going to see much faster Internet while using a mobile hotspot, thanks to what Huawei announced at Mobile World Congress: the Huawei E5786 4G-LTE mobile hotspot.
Double the speed, dual-band Wi-Fi
This is the next generation of mobile hotspot thanks to the support for the dual-stream specification of the 802.11n standard. This means it supports the connection speed of up to 300Mbps. All mobile hotspots so far support just the single stream specification, which caps at just 150Mbps. On top of that, the Huawei E5786 is also the very first mobile hotspot device that supports true dual-band, meaning it works on both the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequency band at the same time.
On the cellular side, the device support the lastest standard of 4G-LTE and, according to Huawei, offers the top Internet speed of up to 300Mbps for download and up to 100Mbps for upload. The actual speed, of course, depends on the carrier and area of coverage, but nonetheless this means consumers now have a huge ceiling of speeds, both for the local Wi-Fi, as well as cellular Internet, to look forward to.
