UE Boombox (read review)

We liked this portable Bluetooth speaker just fine when it cost $249.99. It's a bargain at $149.99.

Vizio E701i-A1 70-inch LED TV (read review)

This massive TV earned a very positive review from us last year, and it will enjoy a massive 36 percent discount.

Vizio E601i-A3 60-inch LED TV (read review)

We called this little brother to the 70-incher the best value in its class, and at this price, it's an even better buy. And yes, it comes with an in-store guarantee.

Runner up: Sharp LC-60LE450U (Best Buy, $699). I'd be surprised if it's as good as the LE650U, but it shouldn't be too much worse. We'd still pick the Vizio, though, since it's a known quantity.

GoPro HD Hero3 (read review)

We gave the Hero3 high marks for image quality. It's regularly $329.99, so $249.99 is a nice discount.

Vizio E550i-A0 55-inch LED TV (read review)

Local dimming helps this TV punch far above its price class, and with a 36 percent discount, its value is simply phenomenal. This is one of the few TVs worth camping out at Amazon's site.

Runner up: LG 55LN5100 (Best Buy, $499). We don't expect this LG to have a picture any better than this 2012 TV, but it's still really cheap.

At this size on Black Friday, to the cheapest go the spoils. We don't even know what model this is, and it kinda doesn't matter. If it produces a picture, the rest is gravy.

Runner up: Sharp LC-42LB150U (Best Buy, $299). An extra Franklin gets you a brand name and an extra 2 inches. We can't vouch for the picture, though.

Samsung Galaxy S4 (read review)

Several retailers are offering deals on the Galaxy S4 and other smartphones. You can't do much better than free for the GS4, which hit the market at $199.99 with a two-year contract (AT&T/Sprint/Verizon). Note: Staples is actually charging 1 cent for the phone, so not quite free.

Widely available now from Samsung's Web site and elsewhere for this new low price, the F4500 is the sole plasma TV on this list, and one of the few we didn't review this year. However, CNET contributor Geoff Morrison loved it in his review at The Wirecutter and even pitted it against a 4K LCD. Guess which won?

PlayStation 3 (read review)

If you're not ready to make the leap to the PS4 or Xbox One, you can get a decent deal on the older PS3 that includes two highly rated games.

Xbox 360 (read review)

The Xbox One with no games is $499.99. If you're not ready to make that investment, like with the PS3, you can get the Xbox 360 with a bundle of games for a relatively modest price. (This bundle would regularly run you $286).

MacBook Pro 13-inch with Retina Display (read review)

Apple products usually don't get discounted all that much (if anything at all), so when you see a couple hundred bucks off a product like the MacBook Pro 13-inch with Retina Display (regularly $1,299), it's worth mentioning. Best Buy is also offering $150 off all MacBooks Airs.

Nintendo 3DS XL (read review)

If you're looking for a sale on the 3DS XL to play that new Zelda game, this is it -- $50 off from Target.

Nikon D3200 (read review)

Target has a nice deal on the D3200, a solid entry-level dSLR camera for $499.99 with two lenses (regularly $799.99). You're basically getting the second lens for free.

Nook HD 8GB (read review)

Barnes & Noble and Target are blowing out the 7-inch Nook HD 8GB for $79.99 (regularly $129). While 8GB of internal memory is a bit skimpy, it's got an expansion slot for more memory and has the Google Play store on board, which makes the whole package a bargain at this price.

Runner-up Nook deals: Barnes & Noble is also selling the Nook Simple Touch (basic e-reader) for $39.99 (regularly $79), and Best Buy has the Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight for $49.99 (regularly $99).

Newegg is calling the Asus 24-inch Widescreen LCD Monitor a Black Friday special, but it's on sale now for $149.99 (regularly $229.99) with a $20 mail-in rebate.

Sony BDP-S3100 Smart Wi-Fi Blu-ray Player (read review)

We like the step-up BDP-S5100, but this is a solid deal for a good Blu-ray player that regularly costs $89.99.

HTC One (read review)

A few retailers are offering deals on one of our favorite Android smartphones, the HTC One. Best Buy's deal is one of the best at $29.99 with a two-year contract.

Google Nexus 7 (read review)

It's not a huge deal, but $199 is about the best price you'll find on the 16GB Nexus 7, which usually retails for $30 more.

iPhone 5S (read review)

Walmart has discounts on both the iPhone 5S and 5C ($45 with two-year contract), and it throws in a $75 gift card.

Caption by

Sony SRS-BTX300 Bluetooth speaker (read review)

We're fans of the larger Sony SRS-BTX500, but its little brother is a solid deal at $99.99 (regularly $199.99).

Caption by

Sony MDR-X10 headphones (read review)

Best Buy is running a Black Friday special on Sony's X Series Over Ear headphones for $99.99. That's a good deal on these headphones, which don't have a ton of detail but do have lots of bass. If you miss them at Best Buy, Sony is currently running the same deal in its online store (Sony also has them in all black).

Caption by / Photo by Sony

iPad Air (read review)

This is about as good a deal as you'll get on the 16GB iPad Air, which regularly retails for $499.99.

Caption by / Photo by Josh Miller/CNET

It may not be super lightweight, but this 17.3-inch touch-enabled notebook runs on a fourth-gen Intel Core i7 processor, has a 1,920x1,080-pixel display, and integrated Beats Audio technology. Pretty decent deal at $799 (regularly $999).

Dyson DC50 Ball Upright Vacuum (read review)

Costco has a $100-off coupon on the Dyson DC50, which regularly retails for $399.99. That's a bargain for a very good vacuum.

Microsoft Surface (read review)

Lots of retailers are running deals on the Surface RT, which runs Windows RT (not to be confused with the Surface Pro and Surface Pro 2, which run Windows 8.1). We're not sure how bright RT's future is (translation: it's a bit of a risky investment), but if you've had your eye on one, eBay has it at the bargain price of $169 (the Surface RT started out at $349.99). Staples and Fry's are bundling it with the keyboard cover for $249.99 and $229.99, respectively, and Best Buy has it on its own for $199.99.

Sony PlayStation Vita (read review)
Earlier this year, Sony's portable game console was selling for $250. But today, Amazon is offering the Vita for $175, and throwing in four games -- The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, Retro City Rampage, and Uncharted Golden Abyss (all via download codes). Also included is a 4GB memory card. We'd call that one fantastic deal -- and unlike the other Black Friday deals on Amazon, this one seems like it's available all day. (Jump directly to the deal on Amazon here.)
