The Samsung Stratosphere may be almost identical to the Samsung Epic 4G we saw for Sprint in 2010, but the design is new to Verizon: it's the first 4G LTE smartphone outfitted with a QWERTY keyboard.

Inside is software that Verizon and Samsung hope will hook business users, including Cisco VPN, on-device encryption, and support for Microsoft ActiveSync.

The 4-inch Super AMOLED screen is bright, brilliant, and sharp. Like other phones in the Galaxy S family, the Stratosphere is outfitted with this screen technology, and colors just pop. They keyboard buttons on the five-row QWERTY keyboard are raised and easy to press, though the keyboard width may feel too wide for smaller hands.

There's the 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.3-megapixel lens for front-facing photos.
