Pixar's 'Toy Story 3' comes out on June 18. Three days earlier, Toy Story 3: The Video Game comes out on Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and DS, PlayStation 3 and Portable. The game features both a story mode--which follows much of the arc of the film--as well as a unique 'toy box' adventure mode. The game was made by Avalanche Studios, which took two-and-a-half years to make the film. The PS3 version will feature arch-villain Zurg as a playable character.
A scene inside the bedroom of Andy, the owner of the toys that are the heroes of the 'Toy Story' films and the new video game. In the original two films, Andy was a little boy. In the third film--and the game--Andy is grown up and the toys must discover a new life.
During the Toy Story 3: The Video Game press day at Pixar's headquarters on May 5, 2010, a giant arch greets visitors to the spacious building. It seems probable that the arch, and other large display pieces related to the game, will be taken to Los Angeles next month for E3, the video game industry's giant convention.
