Lipstick, cigarettes, packet of three: we're going out. The Canon IXUS 310 HS, 220 HS and IXUS 115 HS are three new compact snappers packing 12.1-megapixel CMOS sensors in silkily streamlined IXUS shells, shooting 1080p video and all dolled up like a bad night out in Romford.

The IXUS 220 HS, pictured above, sports a wide-angle 24mm lens, equivalent to a 35mm camera. It packs a 5x optical zoom lens and 2.7-inch screen, and shoots 1080p video. It's available in silver, black and red. This sleek snapper could be yours from mid-February, for £200.

The novice of the bunch is the IXUS 115 HS, available in silver, grey, pink and blue. It drops in early February, costing around £180.

The star of the show is the IXUS 310 HS, which boasts a large 3.2-inch touchscreen. It has a wide-angle 24mm lens with f/2.0 maximum aperture. The 310 fires 1080p video and up to 3.4 stills per second at full resolution, or 8.2 shots per second at 3-megapixel size.

The 310 is yet another stylishly angled compact beauty, yet -- like a usually well-dressed ladywoman roped into a fairy-winged, cowgirl-hatted hen night in Inferno's -- it comes coated in bling-tastic chocolate brown, salmon pink or gold slap. It arrives in early March, priced at £300.

The most beautiful phone ever has one wildly annoying issue

he Samsung Galaxy S8's fast speeds and fantastic curved screen make it a top phone for 2017, but the annoying fingerprint reader could sour your experience.
