The phone's camera manages to get the details of the scene well, including the fur on the dog's tail. It does, however, blow out the background a little, but that's because the setting sun was casting quite a strong light toward the opposite shore.

You'll end up with a slightly blurry picture since the shutter is open longer. To take a clearer picture, you would need to crank up the ISO, increasing shutter speed.

If HDR isn't turned on, the result is a very overexposed image that makes the foreground underexposed. You should leave the HDR on auto most of the time for the best images.
