The iPad Mini with Retina Display

During its keynote today, Apple unveiled the iPad Mini with Retina Display. The new tablet will feature a 2,048x1,536-pixel resolution and houses Apple's A7 chip. It will be available in late November, starting at $399.

Launching with iOS 7

The tablet will run iOS 7 and ships in late November, starting at $399 for 16GB of storage for the Wi-Fi version, continuing to $499 for 32GB, $599 for 64GB, and $699 for the brand-new 128GB configuration.

At a carrier near you

The cellular version of the Mini start at $529 for 16GB, and from there it's $629 for 32GB, $729 for 64GB, and finally a whopping $829 for 128GB. All four major US carriers (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile) will offer the device.

A thin profile

The new iPad Mini measures 7.87 inches tall, 5.3 inches wide, and is 0.29 inch thick. The Wi-Fi model will weigh 0.73 pound, whereas the Wi-Fi and cellular model will weigh 0.75 pound.
