'Zoolander 2' trailer features, wait, Stephen Hawking?

The remarkably scientific trailer for the "Zoolander" sequel brings science to the forefront.

Technically Incorrect offers a slightly twisted take on the tech that's taken over our lives.

My ambition in life is to reach the stage where mind doesn't matter.

Perhaps the closest I've come to that was watching the first "Zoolander" movie. A meditation on the truly important things in life, this was in many ways a formative moment for me.

I am delighted, therefore, that there is to be a sequel featuring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, and that this movie will be reaching for an even higher plane.

I know this because I have just gorged on the first trailer for "Zoolander 2."

This features less preening from the human stars and more existential, scientific pondering about the stars above from a voice that sounds remarkably like that of Stephen Hawking's computer-based communication system.

It isn't quite, I fancy, the man himself.

However, the voice muses on life's most ancient riddles, the true meaning of the universe and the very essences of humanity.

What, it asks, is the biggest question we all should answer? Anyone even tangentially familiar with the Zoolander ethos knows that the question, as posed in the trailer, is: "If God exists, then why did he make ugly people?"

This is an extremely valid question, one that deserves research funding from our highest government institutions and divinities.

A related topic, of course, is to wonder whether the majority of the world's most beautiful people have IQs below that of an armadillo's.

"Zoolander 2" is due for release in February next year. It will also star vast luminaries such as Penelope Cruz, Willie Nelson and Justin Bieber.

It doesn't appear to star vast intellectual luminaries such as Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Bill Nye or even Donald Trump.
