Zombies are about to attack your breakfast

Pancake artist Nathan Shields shows how to make a detailed zombie meal to scare your kids this Halloween. Now, where'd I put that blood red maple syrup?

Halloween is fast approaching, and we can think of no better way to celebrate than with these zombie pancakes from pancake artist Nathan Shields.

Shields, an illustrator and math teacher by trade, began making crazy pancake art while traveling in Saipan with his wife and kids, and presents his creations to the world on his blog, Saipancakes. To celebrate Halloween, Shields made some pretty scary-looking zombie pancakes, and topped them with zombie jam to make them appear like they've just devoured a human or two. You can see a time-lapse video of his creative process at the top of this post.

I can't wait to try to make these zombie pancakes to scare the pants off my own family. We've got our own stash of zombie jam (some raspberry jelly we made) just waiting to make a few bloody pancakes.
