Yahoo, Time team on chat site

Hosted by Yahoo's service, Time's chats will give users the chance to talk online with celebrities and experts in finance, news, and parenting.

Yahoo (YHOO) and Time New Media today announced an alliance that includes a new online chat service.

Hosted by Yahoo's popular Yahoo Chat service, Time's series of weekly chats will give users the chance to talk online with a variety of celebrities and experts in the finance, news, and parenting fields, to be conducted by Time properties such as People.com, Time.com, Money.com, and Parent.com, according to Yahoo.

The new chat area launched its first event during the State of the Union address with the Time executive editor and veteran political journalist, John Stacks. This was followed by chats with Watergate figure John Dean and former Iran-contra independent counsel Lawrence Walsh.

Upcoming chats this week feature supermodel Frederique van der Wal tomorrow and sex expert Dr. Ruth Westheimer on Friday. A complete listing of upcoming chats can be found on Yahoo's Chat site.
