Yahoo search result: Verizon's the new owner

No more speculation. If all goes to plan, Verizon will combine Yahoo's internet business with AOL.

Verizon Communications is shelling out $4.83 billion for Yahoo's internet business. Yahoo's other business interests, such as its ownership stake in Alibaba (valued at over $30 billion), will not be turned over to Verizon. Instead, Yahoo will continue to own those properties, but that company will change its name if the Verizon/Yahoo deal is approved.
