Cell phones with integrated Wi-Fi are very few in number, and the handsets that have the feature are usually high-end smart phones, such as the. Fortunately, however, we're seeing a hint of change at CES. Samsung's new SGH-T709 is one of the first GSM cell phones in the United States with Wi-Fi, yet it retains a largely functional feature set and a compact, attractive slider design. Other features include an MP3 player, a speakerphone, a 1.3-megapixel camera, a video recorder, instant messaging, and speech recognition. The triband (GSM 850/1800/1900) handset should be available by the second quarter of this year, with T-Mobile as the likely carrier.
