Why Mac users are happy sans Microsoft

A News.com reader writes that injecting further Microsoft "features" into the Apple OS will hinder, not help, Mac users.

Why Mac users are happy sans Microsoft

In response to the July 26 column by Chris LeTocq, "Time for Apple to decide about .Net":

One of the primary values of the Mac platform is its segregation from the Windows-centric environment. Mac folks can seamlessly interoperate with Windows machines, share files, and so on. We have for years.

Injecting further Microsoft "features" into a fantastic, stable and powerful OS will hinder, not help, us. Rather, it should be an optional feature that people can choose for themselves if they want to use it.

Incidentally, the Mac is also the most secure consumer OS out there.
