Vodafone is shaking up its mobile deals with a £1 cap on pay-as-you-go and special data bundles for specific apps.

The new Pay As You Go 1 plan comes with a £1 daily limit, so you only pay for what you use until you a hit a pound. After that calls and texts are free, as well as 500MB of data.

For monthly subscribers, the network has introduced Passes -- the option to buy an extra 5GB of data for specific apps on top of your regular data allowance. For example, the Chat Pass costs £3 per month for use with Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Viber, while the Social Pass costs £5 per month for Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter.

A Music Pass accesses streaming services including Spotify and Amazon Music for a fiver, while the Video Pass costs £7 for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and other video streaming and catch-up outlets. You can also pay £15 for a Combo Pass, which gives you all four Passes.
