Umax returns to PC market

Umax, which left the computer business when Apple Computer yanked its license in 1998, is reentering the market. The Fremont, Calif.-based company launched on Monday its P414 PC for $898. The P414 features a 1.4GHz Intel Pentium 4 chip, 128MB of memory, a 30GB hard drive and Microsoft's Windows 98, Second Edition. Umax is selling the PC on its Web site.
