As expected, things got a little heated during Wednesday night's debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, perhaps hitting its height (or low) when Trump interrupted his rival to insult her character.
The incident occurred near the end of the debate when Clinton was responding to moderator Chris Wallace's question on Social Security.
"My Social Security payroll contribution will go up, as will Donald's, assuming he can't figure out how to get out of it, but what we want to do is ..." Clinton said before Trump interrupted with a remark, apparently aimed at Clinton, "Such a nasty woman."
Predictably, social media seized on the opportunity to lambaste Trump, who had earlier said he respected women.
Some incorporated "bad hombres," another popular meme of the evening.
Others raised serious points.
