Leave it to Jack Dorsey to rally his troops, er...flock so to speak.
In an internal memo sent to his staff last week, the Twitter CEO wrote about its ongoing "LIVE" - streaming strategy, proclaiming yet again it's the "people's news network," according to Bloomberg News. While he still believes Twitter is the fastest social network to get news, Dorsey said it now needs to be "the first place people check to see what's happening."
Dorsey told the staff the company is only limited by "our sense of urgency."
"Life is short. Every day matters. And the people who use Twitter every day deserve our best. They are why we're here," he said in the memo. "So let's show them what we're made of and deliver a better Twitter faster than they thought possible. We can do this every day. We can do this!"
The rouser comes as uncertainty looms over the social network as potential buyers Apple, Disney, Salesforce and Google parent company Alphabet reportedly have basically no interest in acquiring the social network.
Twitter did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The company's shares fell more than 11 percent Monday after tumbling more than 20 percent on Thursday.
