If nothing else, YouTube is making the world a smaller place by spreading various versions of pop culture from country to country.
Case in point: Where else would you get exposed to TV commercials from faraway lands, unless you're in the ad industry and attend the Clio Awards? Even then, you probably would see only a handful of examples.
But as this post on High T3ch Magazine shows, you can find the top commercials from Japan and many other nations on the video-sharing network. Three from this list involve McDonald's, Darth Vadar and Arnold Schwarzenegger, by the way--so maybe our cultures aren't so different after all.
