Tomorrow Daily 122: Google growing human skin, Jennifer the skiing robot, NASA's SMAP, and more

On today's show, we explain why Google is growing human skin in a lab, watch an adorable robot ski in the name of science and cheer on NASA as it starts collecting data from its SMAP satellite.

We're back from the weekend, full of crazy Katy Perry performances and crazier football plays, and ready to talk about all kinds of neat news we've combed the Internet for: Google X (the super secret lab with experimental projects like Project Loon and other crazy ideas) is growing synthetic human skin to help test an idea involving a health wearable and nanoparticles; the University of Manitoba in Canada is showing off Jennifer, an adorable robot who can play hockey and ski; and NASA successfully launched its SMAP satellite last weekend.

We'll tell you what those stories are all about, but before that, we'll also tell you a little bit about Monty Oum and Andrew Yoon, two colleagues of ours that were taken far too soon this past week. We'll miss you, guys. Safe travels.
