The members of Task Force X, otherwise known as the "Suicide Squad," have appeared in costume for the first time in a full-cast photo -- sans the inked-up Joker.
David Ayer, director of the movie due to be released in 2016, followed up last week's tweet of Jared Leto's tattooed Joker with a tweet on Sunday that included the image above.
"Suicide Squad" is about a team of supervillains pulled together by a government agent and given a chance at a clean slate. The snag is that the "chance" is a series of incredibly dangerous missions that none of them is expected to survive.
While the newly tweeted photo offers a first look at known quantities Will Smith as expert marksman Deadshot and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, there were also a few new reveals for the team.
From left, the lineup shows Adam Beach as Slipknot, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Karen Fukuhara down in front as Katana, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc and Jay Hernandez as El Diablo.
Ayer also tweeted out a solo shot of Smith as Deadshot, this time complete with the assassin's signature mask and eyepiece.
Leto's Joker is notably absent from the group photo, but that may be because he's not a part of the team proper, or because we already got. Also not making an appearance is Viola Davis as the team's government handler, Amanda Waller.
According to the film's IMDB page, fans can also expect appearances from actors Jesse Eisenberg and Ben Affleck, reprising their roles as criminal mastermind Lex Luthor and the Dark Knight himself, respectively. With both movies due to be released next year, it looks like DC Comics' interconnected cinematic universe will soon be in full swing.
The newly unveiled team of supervillains will hit movie screens on August 5, 2016. Let us know what you think of the costumes in the comments.
