Sonicblue signs deal with LG Electronics

Expanding on an existing relationship, Sonicblue announced Tuesday that consumer-electronics maker LG Electronics will increase manufacturing volumes of Sonicblue's Go-Video dual-deck DVD/VCR products. The move should help Sonicblue keep up with heavy demand for its products, something the Santa Clara, Calif.-based company has had a difficult time doing in recent months. With the additional units, Sonicblue expects to expand sales to more retailers. The Go-Video products are currently available in stores such as Circuit City, The Wiz, PC Richards, Costco, Sam's and BJ's Wholesale Club stores. Sonicblue also has a manufacturing deal with Samsung Electronics.
