Someone recreated BioShock's Rapture using 30,000 Lego bricks

Bioshock's underwater city is charming, in a more fun and less horrifying way, in Lego form.

Rapture, the underwater city from 2007's BioShock, is one of the most atmospheric, harrowing settings in the last few generations of gaming. But, evidently, it's a lot less intense in Lego form.

Lego builder Imagine Rigney recently completed a Lego reconstruction of Rapture, using over 30,000 bricks to do so. His hard work as been touted by BioShock publisher 2K, who put the Lego city on its blog to be appreciated in all its glory.

It's not just the original game that got the Lego love -- you'll notice the flying city of Columbia, from 2013's BioShock Infinite, above the Lego Bioshock logo.

Both games, incidentally, are in the recently released BioShock Collection, a trio of remastered games that also includes BioShock 2.
