Software you buy but don't use

Software you buy but don't use

Lots of talk in this story from Forbes about how software purchases can go wrong, especially for small business, but this quote jumps out:

"The number one problem [with business software] is that users don't use it," says Ian Campbell, chief executive of Nucleus Research, an IT research firm in Wellesley, Massachusetts. When that happens, "It doesn't matter whose fault it is, it still was a bad idea to buy it."

Sounds obvious, right? Don't buy something you're not going to use. No advice here, except an admonition to think it through and not be taken in by the "slick" sales people.
