SOA Software said on Monday that it has acquired Blue Titan Systems, filling out the product line for building applications around a service-oriented architecture, a modular system design. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Privately held Blue Titan provides server software that is designed to reliably send messages between computers using standard protocols., used by a small number of leading-edge customers, also enables different messaging systems to interoperate, according to the company. SOA Software also focuses on corporate customers building a service-oriented architecture. Its software is designed around standard protocols for security and "governance," or tools that provide policies for tracking how shared applications are used within a company. Frank Martinez, CEO of Blue Titan, will become executive vice president of the combined company, focusing on product strategy, SOA said in a statement.
