Short Take: WHO warns about medical drugs on Net

The World Health Organization's Division of Management and Pharmaceutical Policies says it is dangerous to allow unregulated advertisements and sales of medical drugs on the Net, according to Agence France-Presse. A WHO working group met in Geneva, Switzerland, this week and made 18 recommendations to limit the selling of medicine on the Net and called for industry self-regulation. The group said countries could also go after online promoters of illegal products.
