VocalTec announced a service that allows online shoppers to make Net phone calls to an e-commerce site's customer service department. The service, called "Surf&Call Center Pro," will ship in the third quarter of this year, and costs $50,000 for five customer service agents. The company today also released new software technology aimed to analyze network usage and help remedy delays or distortions of voice or multimedia over the Internet. The software is a plug-in, and is available for free on VocalTec's Web site.
