Short Take: Verity VP and CFO resigns

Verity, a provider of search-and-retrieval applications for enterprise and the Internet, today announced the resignation of Donald C. McCauley, vice president and chief financial officer. After nearly four years with Verity, McCauley has accepted a senior management position with a privately held technology company located in the Sacramento area, where he has lived since prior to joining Verity in 1994. McCauley was instrumental in guiding Verity through its initial public offering in October 1995 and its secondary stock offering in January 1996.
