Torrent Networking Technologies has announced a new router for the ISP market that has 3,136 T1 ports and 14,336 "fractional" T1 ports, aimed for users that use speeds less than T1. The IP9520 router, built as a seven-foot rack with 15 slots for DS3, OC-3/STM-1, OC-12/STM-4, and LAN interfaces, will be available in the first quarter of 1999. Pricing starts at $33,995.
