Short Take: Sun-Netscape teams with net.Genesis

The Sun-Netscape Alliance has lined up a partner, net.Genesis, to help improve its software offerings for companies moving their business to the Internet. The companies have made sure the alliance's SellerXpert software works with net.Genesis product, which helps to track Web visitor surfing habits such as if people abandon purchasing operations part of the way through the process, said Daphne Carmeli of the alliance. The companies won't resell each other's products, but they will promote each other's products, and the alliance hopes to benefit by getting access to some of net.Genesis' 275 customers, Carmeli said. It's the fifth such cooperative deal announced so far.
