Short Take: Student Advantage snaps up CollegeClub.com's assets

Student Advantage, a portal geared toward higher education, will acquire the assets of CollegeClub.com in a cash and stock deal. Under the terms of the agreement, Student Advantage will buy CollegeClub's Web site and other properties and will assume the San Diego media company's revenue contracts, which include a deal with General Motors. Boston-based Student Advantage will pay $7 million in cash and 1.5 million shares of its common stock.
