Short Take: Singapore semiconductor company posts higher revenues

Singapore's Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing, which manufactures chips for other companies, reported net revenues of $238.4 million for the first quarter of 2000, an increase of 82 percent over net revenues of $130.8 million in the first quarter of 1999. Net revenues came to $261.6 million for the first quarter, up 100 percent from $130.8 million in net revenues from the same quarter a year ago.
