Short Take: Rambus-Infineon trial delayed

The trial for a German lawsuit between memory designer Rambus and German chipmaker Infineon has been delayed after the judge assigned to the case was promoted. The hearing, originally set for Dec. 22, has been rescheduled for May 4. Rambus has alleged that Infineon has to pay Rambus for royalties for manufacturing DDR DRAM, a competing memory technology that Rambus claims infringes its patents.
