Short Take: PlayStation2 favored in game console survey

One out of three home Internet users plan to purchase one of the next generation of game consoles, according to a survey by PC Data, with Sony's PlayStation2 the favorite. More than 63 percent of those who identified themselves as likely buyers said they planned to go for the PlayStation2, followed by 22.4 percent for Sega's Dreamcast, 17.2 for Nintendo's Dolphin and 11.9 percent for Microsoft's X-box. More than 33 percent of respondents said they were willing to spend between $150-$199 for the new device, while 30 percent said they would be willing to pay more than $200.
