Short Take: Panasonic ramps up for satellite radio

Panasonic announced a major expansion of its manufacturing complex in Peachtree City, Ga., to build receivers capable of accessing the 100-channel satellite radio service provided by Sirius Satellite Radio. The factory will ultimately be capable of producing more than one million Sirius receivers a year. Sirius has signed alliances to put the receivers in cars made by DaimlerChrysler, BMW, Ford, Jaguar, Mazda and more.
