Short Take: Omnisky, Microsoft to deliver wireless Web to Pocket PCs

OmniSky and Microsoft have announced that OmniSky's wireless Internet and email service will be extended to the Pocket PC operating system. This move allows for the first color access to OmniSky's mobile service. Owners of Pocket PC-based devices with a wireless modem and an OmniSky subscription can receive real-time, color access to the Net. They can also send and receive email. Hewlett-Packard's Jornada is expected to be the first Pocket PC-based device to offer service from Palo Alto, Calif.-based OmniSky.
