Microsoft announced that it will release a Zero Administration Kit within 90 days for its Windows NT Workstation 4.0 operating system. The kit, designed to reduce the cost of PC ownership, features centralized configuration of desktops and allows users to gain access to their desktop by installing their applications from a server. New versions of PCs running NT Workstation 4.0 will include the kit, but existing machines will need to be reconfigured to use the software.
