Short Take: NetManage appoints worldwide engineering VP

NetManage, a provider of PC connectivity solutions, has appointed Kenneth S. Forbes III vice president of worldwide engineering. Forbes, who founded Adaptiv Software in 1993, will oversee the core product division's research and development, quality assurance, and documentation functions. Most recently, Forbes was vice president of development for XP Systems, where he managed the software development organization.
