MGC Communications, a so-called integrated local and long distance telephone company, named Rolla Huff as its new president and chief executive officer. Huff, a one-time executive at Frontier and AT&T Wireless, will replace former CEO Nield Montgomery, who will become vice chairman of the board of directors. MGC also announced that it received an additional $25 million in funding from Providence Equity Partners and $10 million from JK&B Capital.
