Jones Intercable posted a narrower-than-expected loss for the third quarter. Excluding one-time items, the cable operator reported a net loss of $14.4 million, or 35 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $30.8 million, or 88 cents a share, for the like quarter a year ago. Wall Street had expected a loss of 51 cents, according to First Call. Quarterly revenue rose to $129.6 million, from $91.9 million a year ago.
