Short Take: IBM shows workstation

IBM showed its Professional Workstation for the first time at Comdex, displaying a model with a dual Pentium Pro 200-MHz processor, a 4GB hard drive, and 64MB RAM at an estimated cost of $7,000 for shipment in the first quarter of 1997. For another $5,000, the system comes with a 16.1-inch LCD with a 1,280-by-1,024-pixel resolution. IBM also showed a version of its Network PC with a Pentium processor, 1GB hard drive, and Windows 95.
