Short Take: Entrust 128-bit crypto now available

Canada's Entrust Technologies will let Internet users download a free 128-bit encryption product from its Web site. Canada's foreign affairs department recently ruled that Entrust/Solo qualifies as a "shrinkwrap" product and thus is eligible for export. The product enables secure Internet communication plus encryption of data on desktop and laptop PCs. It also can create digital signature and compress files.
